We Believe

Curiosity is the engine of human progress.

We are born with a spark—a desire to know, to understand, to build.

But the world is accelerating. New frontiers arise overnight. The skills of yesterday dissolve by morning. The future is arriving faster than ever before.

Yet, our education system stands still, locked in a static mold built for a slower century. It offers a standardized map for a shifting terrain. It dims the spark of the individual to fit the average.

Existing modalities of learning are no longer just inefficient; they hamper our potential. When the world moves this fast, a "one-size-fits-all" education doesn't just fail to inspire—it leaves us behind.

We exist to close this gap.

We believe the highest form of education must be as dynamic as the world we live in—and as unique as the person learning it. It must listen as much as it speaks. It must evolve at the speed of relevance.

At Grassroot, we are replacing the factory line with a personal engine of growth. To make the world’s knowledge speak your language, instantly. To ensure that no matter how fast the world turns, you have the power to turn with it.

So that anyone, anywhere, can find their spark.

Our Story

Transformed by great teaching.

We're a team of first-generation college students, international scholars, and competitive academics whose lives were transformed by great teaching. Some of us grew up navigating education systems across continents. Others broke generational cycles as the first in our families to attend university.

We've attended top universities such as Northwestern, UChicago, Brown, won math olympiads, and struggled with language barriers. We've experienced both sides – charging premium rates as tutors while knowing that the students who needed us most couldn't afford us.

What unites us: We've all seen how the right teacher at the right moment can change everything. And we've all felt the frustration of education systems that work for some but leave too many behind.

Now, from our base in Chicago, we're building the teaching experience we wish we'd had - and making it accessible to everyone.
